The US Open schedule for 2025 is Sun, Aug 24 – Sunday, Sep 7. Here you’ll find the order of play and start times for matches throughout the two weeks of competition.
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) stages the US Open at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City. It is the fourth of four Grand Slam tournaments in the tennis calendar and chronologically the last, following the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon. The US Open is played on acrylic hard courts and includes events for men, women, and mixed doubles as well as junior and wheelchair tennis (on years when the Paralympics are not held).
During two weeks of competition, the field of players and pairs in each event dwindles until two athletes remain in each of five primary categories to battle it out in a final match. The US Open is the only Grand Slam where both the men’s and women’s singles finals are held on the same day, in Arthur Ashe Stadium. It is also the only Grand Slam to award a $1 million prize money jackpot to each winner. In addition to the main draw, the US Open features a series of exhibition matches and special events. All courts at the US Open are illuminated, allowing matches and television coverage to extend into the evening. The USTA generates revenue from ticket sales, sponsorships, and television contracts that it uses to promote tennis in the United States.
